As someone who loves to experiment with different foods, I recently discovered my love for dehydrated oranges. Not only are they a delicious and healthy snack, but they also make for a pretty gift. I even made a batch for my mom on Mother's Day, and she loved them!
The process is simple - I start by removing the peel and pith of the oranges and then slice them into even pieces using my mandolin. I've learned the hard way to always wear gloves when using my mandolin to avoid cuts. Once the slices are ready, I place them in the dehydrator at 135 degrees and wait until they are perfectly done.
What I love most about dehydrated oranges is their sweet and crunchy texture. They make for the perfect snack any time of day and are also a great addition to salads or yogurt. But I will always like plain the best! And they're a healthy alternative to processed snacks.
Dehydrated oranges have become one of my favorite snacks to make. They're easy to prepare, healthy, and delicious. Plus, they make for a great gift option. Give them a try and I promise you won't be disappointed!
